The Bends 🎸☆⋆。π–¦ΉπŸŠ‍♂️°‧★

Radiohead's second album, The Bends was released in 13 March 1995 by Parlophone. And it was produced by Nigel Goldrich. This album features a blend of alternative-rock, art rock, and post-grunge elements. It contains 12 tracks, with Planet Telex being the first, and Street Spirit (Fade Out) as the last. 🐈

This album was named after a medical condition called the bends or decompression sickness, that usually occurs during diving. The bends is caused by the release of nitrogen bubbles if the decompression occurs too quickly, and it can cause damage to various body tissues. ∑d(°∀°d)

Radiohead actually uses this condition as a metaphor of their feelings! Because the release of Creep and Pablo Honey, had become a surprise mega-hit, and fans keep pressuring the band to release songs that are “as good” as Creep, and they keep demanding the band to play Creep on every show. So in order to break free from the demands, they created this album, where they introduces a half-dozen new musical elements! (♡°▽°♡)
